Fortnite Season 8 is probably one of the most interesting seasons in a long time. We didn’t have any weird aliens in Fortnite, nor OP weapons, or other weird stuff either. Well maybe except for the mecha robots that returned to the island with Fortnite Patch 18.40.

Other than that, the season was pretty nice, but like all good things, it has to end sometime. Chapter 2 is ending! This end event will once again be similar to the end of Chapter 1. The Cube Queen is seemingly unstoppable, and the Seven must prove their skills to prevent her from getting her hands on Reality Zero. Get ready folks. The final Chapter 2 live event “The End” is coming soon.

When Will The Chapter 2, Season 8 Live Event Take Place?

As for the date, according to Epic Games’ official website, the current season ends on December 5. Therefore, there is a high probability that the live event itself will also take place on December 5. Fortnite leaker HYPEX theorizes that we will get a longer downtime afterward and that Fortnite Chapter 3 will be released on December 7.

What will happen in Chapter 2, Season 8 live event?

The plot of The End will pit the forces of Apollo Island against the Cube Queen, who is trying to claim Reality Zero for herself. The event will most likely not only be the end of Season 8, but also the end of Chapter 2 and thus the beginning of Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 1.

The Seven Phases of the Event

If you search through the leakers’ tweets, you’ll find some information that could refer to the final event for Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 8. If this information is to be believed, there will be seven phases of the event, which is code-named “Guava”:

  1. Phase: Att(ack)
  2. Phase: Bea(m)
  3. Phase: Bre(ach)
  4. Phase: Bri(dge)
  5. Phase: Esc(ape)
  6. Phase: Lob(by)
  7. Phase: Swi(rl)

There’s also a storyline event for the end of the season that Epic are working on, codenamed “Guava” and has 7 phases. Here are their codenames:

- Phase 1: Att
- Phase 2: Bea
- Phase 3: Bre
- Phase 4: Bri
- Phase 5: Esc
- Phase 6: Lob
- Phase 7: Swi

The Cube Goes Wild?!

Also, we already know that the map will be almost completely conquered by the cubes in a few days, as we can see in this picture:

The map change is of course also the result of the queen of cubes summoning power from her pyramid in the center of the map. Running the Queen’s sounds and laughter through a spectrogram produces this strange image:

If you put one of the Cube Queen’s sounds into a spectrogram you get this image of the Pyramid shooting lightning around it and to the sky pic.twitter.com/RlFgprpFp4

It appears that the pyramid is surrounded by an electric current, shooting lightning bolts into the sky. Will this moment somehow be part of the upcoming live event? Epic Games rarely does anything by accident or out of context.

However, we’ll have to wait and see exactly what the event will look like. We’ll keep you updated, of course.
